Episode 23: Cimarron River/Southwest Region

Listen Now
Today we bring you our first podcast from our Southwest regional correspondent Matthew Lambert. He brings us an interview with guide Doc Thompson as they talk about some of New Mexico's unheralded fisheries including the Cimarron, Rio Castilla, Rio Grande, and Red rivers. They discuss the type and quality of fish as well as the insects and patterns that are successful on these rivers. They also give us tips on when the best times to fish, how to get there and where to stay. Doc also gives us some inside info on a stretch of river he calls the "Dream Stream". To contact Doc call 505-376-9220 or check out his website here: www.flyfishnewmexico.com

Thank you to Matthew for this great report and stay tuned for more episodes from other regional correspondents.
