Today's fly of the week is the Czech nymph. We've been experimenting with the techniques we were introduced to earlier this year at the Fly fishing Championship qualifier. This fly will help you be more successful as you learn this technique.

Recipe:
Hook: Curved-shape caddis hooks, sizes 10 and 8
Thread: Olive, brown, or gray, sizes 8/0 or 6/0
Weight: Lead wire or adhesive back lead foil
Abdomen: Fine synthetic sparkle dubbing, such as SLF, to match the color of the natural insect
Thorax: Natural fur dubbing with plenty of spikey guard hairs
Shellback: A thin latex strip cut from a clear surgical glove and with a permanent marker of choice or substitute Thin Skin or scud back.
Under-rib: Narrow, flat, plain or holographic tinsel: gold, silver or pearl
Over-rib: 3 or 5 pound-test clear monofilament

We need your help to keep the show going.
